Game Freak has announced the upcoming expansion of the two of the latest and most controversial Pokemon titles during the Pokemon Direct yesterday. During the first Pokemon Direct of 2020, two DLCs were announced for Pokemon Sword and Shield. The DLCs will extend the number of Pokemons available in the game by more than 200. Fans can expect new Legendaries, regions, rivals, and a Pokedex expansion.
The Isle of Armor expansion will be available by the end of June 2020. According to the presentation, the Isle of Armor is a new region that will be based on new environments like bogs, caves, and sand dunes. These environments will be inhabited by new Pokemons that will be available for trainers to catch. The island will also introduce players to a training dojo and mentor, Mustard, as well as a new fighting-type Pokémon called Kubfu. Kubfu’s evolution, Urshifu will have two evolutionay paths. It will either be a Fighting/Dark-type Pokemon or a Fighting/Water-type Pokemon depending on player choice. Each evolutionary paths will have its own new ability and a new unique move.
Meanwhile, the Crown Tundra, a snow-themed DLC, will be released between September and November 2020. You can pre-purchase the Expansion Pass starting today. Purchasing the pass will instantly give users a Pikachu and Eevee in-game uniforms.
